Morning Nursery

Welcome to the Morning Nursery page!

Autumn Term 2021
This term we will be learning all about seasonal changes from autumn to winter. Our nursery garden is key to this process as children show natural curiosity of their environment. They have freedom to explore, create and discover things first hand in our beautiful garden. There are such rich sensory experiences on offer in the natural environment and children are often drawn to the outdoors. We want to build upon their interests and offer challenge in these areas as well as encouraging sustainable development and the importance of taking care of our world.
We will be looking at the changing leaves, searching for conkers, observing changes in the weather, harvesting our crops from the garden and cooking. We will be getting to know our children and families and closely following their interest to see where this term takes us!

As a Rights Respecting School we will be focussing on a different right each half term. This half term will be learning about Article 31- I have the right to rest and play.

We always try to follow the interests of the children when we set up the nursery and plan activities. If you have any ideas you would like to add just talk to one of the nursery team :-)

A list of our core books are below.

Our core books this term are:

'The very busy Spider'

'The Little Red Hen'

Autumn seasonal book

Our core songs and rhymes this term are:

Incy Wincy Spider

Incy wincy spider climbed up the water spout

Down came the rain and washed the spider out
Out came the sun and dried up all the rain

So Incy wincy spider climbed up the spout again

Squirrel, Squirrel, Shake your Bushy Tail

Squirrel, squirrel, shake your bushy tail.
Squirrel, squirrel, shake your bushy tail.
Wrinkle up your little nose,
Hold a nut between your toes.
Squirrel, squirrel, shake your bushy tail.

Our Morning Song

Bore da ffrindiau, sut wyt ti?

Bore da ffrindiau, sut wyt ti?

Bore da ffrindiau, sut wyt ti?

Da iawn, da iawn, diolch!

(Translation in English)

Good morning friends, how are you?

Good morning friends, how are you?

Good morning friends, how are you?

Very well, very well, thank you!
