This week in nursery
It was lovely to welcome the children back to nursery last week after the half term break. This week in nursery we have read the story 'Wow said the Owl' and have been identifying colours and learning the welsh names for colours. The children have been sorting and matching objects by colour have have been fascinated with the light box and coloured resources. We have also been exploring light and dark and there has been so much curiosity in the torches as the children learn how to use them. They are developing their awareness of technology and how things work as they ask questions to find out more. Lots of interest in creating shadows and finding dark areas to light up! Over the last few weeks we have been busy planting new trees in an area of our garden. This week the area was opened up and the children were able to explore what was happening to them. Lots of questions about what they were and how we should care for them. We have started some of our spotty activities in preparation for Children in Need on Friday. The children have been hunting for circular objects to create prints with paints in the garden. They have used pots, tins and even balloons to see what pattern it would make. Remember on Friday 13th November children are welcome to wear pyjamas to nursery. We will be collecting donations at drop off and collection times out in the car park.
