Nursery School
It has been lovely to welcome the children back this week! There has been lots of talk about fireworks as the children share their experiences of bonfire night. We have continued to talk about the right to be safe and the children have shared their thoughts about this in regards to bonfire night, at home, at school and out and about. This has let to an interest in people who help us in the community. We have been exploring books about police, firefighters, doctors and nurses. The children are developing an understanding of these different roles and how they protect us and help us. They have set up their own doctors role play and have been using their own experiences within their play as they bandage broken arms, check temperatures and write prescriptions. Dates for next week: Wednesday 17th November- We will be celebrating World Children’s Day. We will have lots of blue activities linked to the colours of Unicef and the Rights of the child. Children are welcome to come to nursery in something blue. Friday 19th November- Children in Need Day. We will be raising money for this worthwhile cause and welcome children to dress up in something wacky or colourful on the day. We will also be selling cakes and would welcome any shop bought cake donations to go towards this.
