Tremorfa
Nursery School
We have had a very exciting week in nursery with another visit from pirate Louby Lou! The children have been working collaboratively to create their own pirate ship using various loose parts in the garden such as blocks, wooden planks, chairs and stands. This has involved using communication skills, gross motor skills and creative thinking. From this we have observed lots of pirate role play and children have been exploring the seas, walking the plank and saving mermaids! Some of the children have developed an interest in maps and have designed their own maps to find the hidden treasure. We have been researching what a map is and what they are for. The children have been using their fine motor skills to draw their own maps and then work together to follow the map to the treasure! The children have enjoyed exploring our new beach area and have been taking turns and sharing the small world resources. We have started to read our core readers and have been talking about the summer season.
