Nursery School
This week the children have been fascinated with our new OHP. They have been exploring light and shadows using their own body and then using different resources within nursery. In the garden the donated tyres have been a huge hit. The children have worked alongside the staff to set up an obstacle course which is developing their physical skills such as climbing, balancing and jumping. The builders yard has also seen lots of interest with the children beginning to plan out their creations and work as a team to overcome challenge. We have been reading ‘Owl Babies’ which is one of our core stories this term. The children acted out the story in one of our helicopter storytelling sessions. We have some budding actors in the nursery! Next week we will start to learn about the celebration of Christmas. We will explore the Christmas story and learn some traditional Christmas songs. We will be posting these on seesaw and hope that you can learn them with your child. We have continued to learn about different children rights and have revisited the right to be safe, the right to be healthy and the fact that rights are for everyone! Next week we will be focusing on the right to rest and play and the right to our own beliefs and to have these respected. As always it would be really helpful if you could talk about these at home too.
