This week the children started to work together to make a volcano in the sand outdoors, they experimented with making the volcano explode using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar. Some of the children went on a mini trip to Saint Davids Hall to watch 'Mr Blooms Nursery' live. Polly has been away in Poland this week learning basic Polish.

This week in nursery we have been looking closely at our World map. We are learning about different cultures and countries, this week we were looking at Africa, We had a very special visit from Micheal, who came to teach us some African dance moves and we have been practising these. Some of the children have a special interest in dancing and we will be building upon this interest in the following weeks at nursery. Some of the children have been really into practising scissor skills this week, so if you dare, sit with your child and spend time with them cutting and sticking, this will help them to develop their fine motor skills. Some children are still learning to hold the scissors.

This week in nursery we have been developing digital competancy skills through the use of remote controlled cars. The children have been learning to We have watched the videos that we made on our 'Go Pro' on the interactive white board and we will continue to work on building these skills through play next week.Over the past few weeks lots of the children have shown an interest in the birds in the garden. The children came up with some fantasitc ideas and worked collaboratuvely to build our own bird hyde so we could watch the birds and collect data on what we saw.
